課程概述

環境書寫已成為當今重要的研究課題，從區域地理早期的環境書寫，到今天的環境書的復甦，區域地理繼承過往人與環境間的關懷，本課程承其傳統、並突破窠臼，帶領同學以區域地理的觀察視角、重新探索當今的人與環境關係。
本課程結合當代區域研究與地理的先驅研究，培育學生能有效尋找研究議題、探索議題、並且進行區域地理田野調查之能力，經過此培訓，修課學生將能有完整區域研究之經驗，並有能力在進入空間相關專業職場後，進行地理議題探究、專案產品設計開發、環境經營管理等實作。
此課程欲將高教地理學與中學教育的區域地理進行對接，作為唯一一門與高中地理課程直接相關的地理系必修課，同時含納未來有意進入中學教育進行教學之地理、歷史、公民科修課同學，本課程更將以區域研究與地理的視角，重新審視區域地理之定位。
 

課程目標
 為使同學了解區域研究作為一種方法，同時也是一種知識呈現之方式，本課程要求同學以「濱水地帶」為題，分組選定特定地理議題來進行區域調查，透過地理議題的掌握、調查，針對該議題及區域進行詳盡之田野調查，並將調查結果以一個10~20分鐘之podcast節目之方式，傳遞並與社會對話。
近年，podcast、clubhouse已經成為重要的知識傳播方式，不同於紙本書面的報告呈現，如何在現代忙碌生活中，運用10~20分鐘的零碎或通勤時間，完整的交代一地之人與環境互動及爭議，成為本次期末報告給同學的一個挑戰。許多科學傳播之機構，也已開始進行youtube頻道、podcast頻道之開設，將生硬的科研內容轉換成大眾可及的頻道內容。這個頻道透過有系統的提出主題、提出研究問題、蒐集資料、整理成具邏輯的敘述內容，來解答特定的問題。
作為說故事先驅的地理學家，在訊息紛雜、資訊片段的世界中，如何有系統的整理問題、調查問題、並回答問題，透過在地觀點，提出解決問題的方法，將會是一個當今地理學家急欲開拓的領域。期待同學效法Physics world、TODAY 看世界等平台，將生硬的學院研究、地理議題，轉化成民眾可及的頻道內容，呈現在地觀點且講述一個有趣的故事。
有別於youtube頻道或影片，可以藉助影像來呈現許多內容，透過podcast的錄製，挑戰同學在缺乏「視覺刺激」的狀況下，如何生動、具邏輯的說一個在地的故事、回答當代議題，將是期末報告的重點。雖然podcast缺乏視覺刺激，但請同學以創意的方式，好好運用「聲音」這個媒介，例如透過在地耆老親臨說明故事、或聲景的呈現、對話的參與.....等方式，來最大化podcast能呈現的獨特效果。 
課程要求
 課程進行方式主要以教師講授、小組學生討論、小組期末報告等三大部分進行。將於第一週進行小組分組，每5~6人為一組（共計8組），每組須進行：
(1) 每週排序導讀：導讀組須負責製作PPT及講義，搭配課堂上的文本導讀，來協助同學理解文本內容。以小組為單位評分，占總成績15%。
(2) 期中報告：以小組為單位進行評分，占總成績20%。
(3) 小組期末報告（含期中腳本）：以小組為單位進行15分鐘的podcast製作。占總成績40%。
(4) 課堂參與及討論（含出席）：以個人為單位進行評分，占總成績10%。
(5) 每週心得（心得與紀錄請按照助教格式）：以個人為單位評分，占總成績15%。
(6) 課程加分：A. podcast影片精進：將podcast音檔製作成影片一支，最高可加到10%。 B. 大師演講心得：每週助教貼演講資訊，參與並撰寫心得(每篇心得加0-3分)，最高可加到10%。
